Our Client is a European biopharmaceutical company focusing on the development and manufacturing of captive biosimilar and novelty drugs as well as for external CDMO clients 

  • Reporting directly to the CFO of the Company

  • You will work closely with the entire senior management team of the Company as well as overseeing and supervising the strong financial controlling teams located within the individual Group Companies (three in total)

  • You will be responsible for working with the finance teams located in the Group companies to provide a consolidated view of the business spanning across the different sites and business models within the Group

  • You will specifically prepare and review monthly and annual group management accounts with budget holders, focusing on full year forecast prediction versus budget identifying and managing risks and opportunities specifically in the R&D and manufacturing space

  • You will be strongly involved in preparing Group financial forecasts, assessing risks and opportunities to the business cases and proposing scenarios to support strategic discussions about the potential development pathways for the Company

  • You will be a strong business partner with the budget holders, working with them to understand the business and help them understand the financial implications

  • Understanding the cash flow implications of all Group activities and cash flow planning will be a specific priority for you
  • We are looking for an energetic, positive person with a you-can-do-it attitude who easily builds report with colleagues at work and displays impeccable personal integrity and culture

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience working as a financial controller in a biopharmaceutical company will be a very strong advantage

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process and excellent controlling and accounting software user and administration skills are required

  • A university degree in finance, accounting or economics

  • Openness to travel for 1 to 2 days per week within the EU will be expected

  • Outstanding analytical skills and superb attention to detail are a must

  • First-rate work organization, independence and ownership of task will be required

  • Perfect command of English – spoken and written is a must
