Dr. Thomas Nothegger

Dr. Thomas Nothegger holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Innsbruck. He also completed a Master of Business Administration (MCI) at the Management Center in Innsbruck.
Dr. Thomas Nothegger has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, mainly in the areas of Technical Operations (API and FDF), Product Development, Portfolio Management and Quality Management with a proven track record of successful turnarounds. He also successfully developed and implemented customer-centric strategies together with operational management. During his career, Dr. Nothegger held global positions at Sandoz and Fresenius Kabi and gained experience in Europe, North and South America and Asia. He is currently Head of Industrial Operations at Polpharma Group B.V..

Dr Markus Boehringer

Dr. Markus Boehringer studied veterinary medicine (LMU Munich) and received his doctorate from the Institute of Human Medicine at the TU Munich.
Dr. Boehringer looks back on more than two decades in executive positions at well-known and globally active pharmaceutical and medical technology companies. For GlaxoSmithKline and Pfizer he held Director positions in Marketing, Sales and R&D. After his time in the pharmaceutical industry, he switched to medical technology in 2000. He initially worked for a German subsidiary of the dental group Dentsply before becoming Managing Director of Dentsply Australia/NZ in 2005. He later took over the management of Dentsply Asia. After his return to Europe, he was responsible for the Executive Board division “Endodontics” and the EMEA sales division from 2012. After the merger of Dentsply and Sirona, Dr. Boehringer was Senior Vice President EMEA. In addition, he was a long-standing member of the Supervisory Board of DIO Korea and several DentsplySirona subsidiaries in Asia and Europe.

Dr. Gerhard Schaefer

Dr Gerhard Schaefer did his doctorate in Organic Chemistry at the University of Stuttgart in 1981. After gaining initial professional experience in managerial roles in pharmaceutical development, quality assurance and quality control, he held further management positions in business development with renowned companies such as Azupharma, Knoll, Stada, HEXAL and Sandoz. From 2003, Dr Schaefer served on the Board of Directors of HEXAL AG, and after the acquisition of HEXAL AG by Novartis/Sandoz in 2005 was appointed Managing Director at Sandoz International and Head of Global Product Development and Global Business Development. From 2005 to 2012, Dr Schaefer managed 11 development centres. Since 2013, Dr Schaefer has worked freelance as an advisory board member and consultant for portfolio selection and product development for pharmaceutical companies in Germany, France and Poland.

Dr. Hanns-Eberhard Erle

Dr Hanns-Eberhard Erle received his PhD in Organic Chemistry from University of Frankfurt am Main. Dr Erle looks back on more than three decades of experience working for global players of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. The global product supply expert worked in executive and senior management roles at Merck KGaA, Aventis Pharma AG and Hoechst AG where he held worldwide responsibility for supply, quality and production. From 2007 on, he served as Executive Vice President, Member of the Board of Merck Serono and as a Head of Global Manufacturing & Supply he was responsible for the production at 23 sites worldwide. In Vevey, Switzerland he inter alia build one of the world’s largest biotech facilties. From 2014 to date Dr Erle has been a freelance consultant.

Pascal Brenneisen

Pascal Brenneisen studied Law at the University of Basel and followed up with advanced studies at INSEAD, Fontainebleau, and Harvard Business School. He held international management positions in Operations, Marketing & Sales and General Management within the Novartis Group, and was responsible as CEO for the pharmaceutical giant’s Swiss business. His successful turnaround management of the Nyon plant, which secured 700 jobs through long-term investments, brought the manager widespread recognition.

Pascal Brenneisen is Director of Entourage Pharma Consulting AG headquartered in Cham/Switzerland.

Prof. Dr. Armin Bolz

Prof. Dr. Armin Bolz studied physics and received his doctorate and habilitation at the University of Erlangen on physical challenges of implant development. His research results led to novel coating technologies, which he implemented in 1991. Still today, they are being used worldwide in the field of stent and pacemaker production.
From 1995-1999 Mr. Bolz was employed as head of development at Biotronik. In 1999, he accepted the appointment as Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). From 1999 to 2001 he was chairman of the German Society for Biomedical Engineering, and in 2001 he was also a member of the VDE board. In 2001 he founded CORSCIENCE GmbH & Co KG, which he managed very successfully until the end of 2016.

Jürgen Freund

Jürgen Freund initially trained as an industrial clerk. Later he obtained his diploma in business administration (FH) at the Berlin School of Economics and Law.
Mr. Freund looks back on 30+ years of experience as a global procurement executive and has a broad spectrum of know-how and experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics and medical technology industries. Mr. Freund has held the positions of Global Head of Procurement at Merck Generics, London, UK, Head of Purchasing at Merck Serono in Geneva, Switzerland, Head of Procurement Region Europe and Head of Corporate Sourcing Segment Services at Merck in Darmstadt, Germany. Most recently, Mr. Freund was Chief Procurement Officer at B.Braun in Melsungen, Germany. Thanks to his many years of experience in global management positions in purchasing, he has a wide-ranging network within and outside of industry.

Prof. Dr. Johannes Schmidt

Johannes Schmidt studied human medicine at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg. During his training as a surgeon, he received his doctorate at the Institute of Physiology and Cardiology. Later he also completed a Master of Health Business Administration at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
He habilitated through positions as assistant physician and senior consultant and received the teaching authorization for the subject “Surgery” with the appointment as private lecturer. After his election as chief physician at the Protestant Hospital Lutherhaus in Essen (later Krupp Hospital Essen-Steele), he received the APL professorship for “Surgery”. Prof. Dr. Schmidt was appointed Medical Director at the Protestant Hospital Lutherhaus in Essen and at the Academic Teaching Hospital of the Technical University of Munich in Landshut. In addition, Prof. Dr. Schmidt received an honorary professorship from the University of Bucharest. Prof. Dr. Schmidt has also been active for many years in various supervisory and executive board positions and as an auditor.

Dr. Jürgen Regenold

Dr Jürgen Regenold studied pharmacy at the University of Freiburg and graduated with a PhD. After gaining his first professional experience in pharmacological research, pharmaceutical product development and regulatory affairs, the doctor of pharmacy founded Dr. Regenold GmbH, which specialised in development, registration and market entry in the pharmaceuticals industry and medical technology. With the global regulanet® network, the regulatory affairs specialist has established a network of independent regulatory consultants in over 90 countries.

Dr Jürgen Regenold is a member of the Entourage GmbH Advisory Board. The two companies Dr. Regenold GmbH and Entourage GmbH cooperate in the field of regulatory affairs.

Dr. Frank Böttcher

Dr Frank Böttcher studied pharmacy at the Carolo Wilhelmina Technical University in Braunschweig and obtained his doctorate there in 1994 at the Institute for Pharmaceutical Biology. Dr Böttcher can look back on many years of experience in quality control and quality assurance in various pharmaceuticals companies. Dr Frank Böttcher joined the management team of Labor L+S AG in 2003. As an authorised signatory he was responsible managing director for Quality, Sterile Testing and Chemical Analytics from 2005. Since 2013 Dr Böttcher has acted as sole member of the Board of Directors of Labor L+S AG.

Prof. Dr. Günther Schönrich

Prof. Dr. med. Günther Schönrich studied Medicine and Philosophy at Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg and graduated in 1985 with a PhD in Medicine, majoring in Cardiology. He completed his post-doc at the Institute of Immunology and Genetics, German Cancer Research Centre in Heidelberg. Mr Schönrich has in-depth expertise in the field of microbiology, virology, infection epidemiology and virus immunology. Since 2006, Mr Schönrich has been Deputy Director of the Institute for Virology (CCM) at the the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

Dr. Wilfried Hauke

Dr Wilfried Hauke studied Medicine at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and earned his doctorate in Frankfurt in 1991. Dr Hauke has been active in the pharmaceuticals industry for over 30 years, holding positions of responsibility for the clinical development of small molecules and biologics. As a Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance, Dr Wilfried Hauke has in the course of his professional career assumed tasks as a pharmacovigilance manager for companies operating in Germany and has also focused on risk-benefit analyses within the scope of due diligence processes, as well as on rare disease/orphan drug development. Dr Hauke rounds off his profile with consultative roles and as an interim manager.
